Changes to Compak Golden Bean Format

Following discussions with the head judges we will be tailoring the format and adding an extra category next year – Filter. We will also be continuing with our weigh in weigh out ratio system for the espresso bases.

Just two weeks ago we experienced our largest Compak Golden Bean Australia event where we coped with over 1250 coffees, judge by over 100 delegates attending the event. We achieved this by increasing the number of dedicated category judges and next year we will adopt this methodology in the North American competition as well. Therefore we will be seeking these judges throughout the year, so if you are interesting in becoming part of the Golden Bean family please let me know via email. The website entry forms will be updated in January so we can start preparing for the competition.
