Sisters Coffee

Whilst travelling and promoting the Compak Golden Bean we had the pleasure of calling out to the North West town of Sisters, Oregon. Sisters is a classic western themed town with buildings straight out of a cowboy movie that attracts thousand of tourist daily. The town overlooks the Sisters Mountains in the Cascade Ranges and is only thirty minutes from Bend.

We called by Sisters Coffee and chatted with roastress Jess Durham and her team. Jess gave us some great brews and as a parting gift she hand me a rare roast of Ethiopian Ardi. Having had tastings of this magnificent coffee I suggested she put this into the Golden Bean. Jess took on the advice and she ended up winning the Compak Golden Bean Single Origin category.

It was a pleasure to see such a great business excelling in a national event and it was a credit to the whole team for winning this category of single origin that attracted many great roasts. Jess’s brother Jared runs their Portland café in the Pearl District and he was able to attend the awards evening to receive the gold medal.

Congratulations to the whole team at Sisters Coffee for winning this category!
